So I figured since i have rarely left the house today (and by rarely i mean i have left one time to go get food; during that time i thought my car was towed but i digress because it seems like i am going on a tangent) that i would write another blog post! To much or your disbelief i was not being a lazy couch potato, but on the contrary i have been studying hardcore on my monologue to make sure i have it down to the T. Nevertheless, I figured I could take a break and give you a little background on my roommates since they are artists, like myself.
So I moved to this beautiful city a few months ago into a nice little 2 bedroom apartment with one of my close friends Sam.

Now close friends is an understatement actually because we went to the same college, pledged to the same fraternity (shout out to Phi Omega Phi one time), and we even stood in line next to each other in our pledge class (Shout out to the DS and the 93 Inferno one time). Now Sam and I came up with the exceptional idea to shack up together because...well...we're broke post graduates (who'd of thought). Currently our mornings are very similar and it starts with waking up, checking our emails for any incoming gigs (Sam is a rapper by the name My Twin Sam and the man is about to blow up here soon just wait on it. I will include a link of his soundcloud at the end of the post, but here i am on a tangent again), update our resumés, and then apply to JOBSSSS because how else are the bills going to get paid right?! This man and I are very correlative for many reasons but that'll be discovered down the road when I get more blogs under my belt. Anyways Sam has a creative mind and won't follow the habitual pattern that most humans fall into and find a boring job to just waste your life away. Instead, he works hard on his craft and at the same time he pushes me to strive to get better at mine. This it exactly how friends should work. If you don't feel the need to push your friend to become a better them, then are you really their friend? That question was rhetorical by the way. Anddddd this brings me to my other roommate...
Now this man goes by the name of Gary, and let me tell you he is by far the funniest person i have ever met (well actually that is Melissa McCarthy when we were filming a movie but Gary is the funniest Friend I have ever met). This man is an actor, comedian, director, writer actually you name it he does it. I have honestly never met someone as creative as him and it is truly a blessing to live with him because he is always giving me tips for my next audition or just extra tips to shape me into a better actor. Now Gary and I went to the same college as well, and was in the same fraternity (Shout out to Phi Omega Phi two times) and was in the same pledge class (DS and the 93 Inferno two times), but he went to Augie and actually majored in Theatre so this man has serious experience under his belt. Anyways he was living in the suburbs looking for open mic and whatnot but he quickly came to the realization that it would be wiser if he actually moved to the city. So, he asked if he could pitch in on the rent and sleep on the couch and Sam and I was like "Hellllll YEA" anything to bring the cost of living in the Chi down right! Now myself coming from my background i had a pretty decent transition into moving to the city, but as for my comedic friend Gary, the odds were not in his favor by any means. The second day he called me asking if i could pick him up from his improv class. Now this was very odd because he drove to his class in the morning, but anyways he sounded pretty down so i rushed to the 7-eleven he was at and he told me the horrible news and i quote "You're either gunna slap me in the face or die laughing, but I cannot remember where I parked". I know you're dying to know which option i chose, but i let you sit there and go crazy. At any rate, we searched for his car for hours!!!! I truly mean hours!!! Low and behold Gary was very sane, but it just so happened than someone had decided to play real life GTA and and steal his car! Now this was very tragic because Gary had a lot of his possessions in the car as he was just moving into our house. The next couple of days were pretty down for him but he, just like any other incredibly talented artist catapulted back from it and has been networking out here like crazy and has also been getting gigs out the yin yang! Nobody deserves it more than him. I'll go into Gary more over time in another blog I just wanted to give you guys a glimpse.
With that being said this wraps up my blog. I just wanted to give you guys a glimpse of my life and who I'm living with in this wonderful city. I would not of had it any other way.
